Hi there I searched for this topic already, but here is my problem, I did a fullrip of the movie The Ring (usa region 1) using dvd decrypter, checked the files, and they looked good (full color good quality etc). I then used dvd2one's "full disk" setting to decode. All went well, but when I checked files on computer they are in black in white, and now the files from dvd decrypter are also in black and when (they used to be color). I did not see any settings in either dvd decrypter or dvd2one to change between pal and ntsc.

Anybody know why this happened, and if I were to burn the files to dvd-r, do you think they would be in color on my ntsc tv and apex dvd player which can switch between pal and ntsc?

Thanks for you help in advance...

P.S. Please don't write back just saying it is probably Pal or NTSC problem, I need real help on this one... Also don't write back talking about RGB cables since this has to do with playback on my computer, NOT my TV...

Got nothing to do with NTSC or PAL as such issues do not effect playback on a PC. You can have any framerate you want on PC, 15, 30, 29.976, 24, whatever.

What software are you using for playback, because that is what I would be looking at.

How are you playing them back on your PC ? ...... i.e. are you opening the VIDEO_TS.ifo or are you opening the individual .vob files ?

I am opening the individual vob files... Even when I try to play the movie itself now, it is in black and white... really weird, I have never seen anything like that.

What player software ? .... sounds like yr codecs are muffed.

I would burn it and check it on yr standalone. My guess would be it will play fine and the prob is with your PC, either codecs or a corrupted driver.
Hope it aint yr graphics card.
