I tried using slayers and the old goldberg method to format the original HD . The problem is that this hd came from a different xbox with a dead mobo. I realized that the HD is still locked and is probably useless w/o being able to unlock it using the xbox it came from. I couldn't find anything on xboxscene.

maby a hot swap would work.. if u know how.. i know u can flash bios that way
