If your running XP/ME try doing a system restore. What OS do you have? Have you installed any software recently? Little more info please..........

Right click Desktop>Properties>Desktop>Customize Desktop>Make sure its ticked (Note: This is how ya do it in XP. It can be done in ne windows ver but it may not be under customize desktop)

The recycle bin isn't listed under that. It's the only icon that can't be removed without a reg hack or third party software.......

Click here (http://www.waynescomputerworld.com/recyclebin.reg) to download a registry fix. Save the file to your disk folder. Double click the file and respond "YES" to the message "Do you want to merge this file with your registry."

Glad it worked out, but that's kinda like curing the headache, by cutting off the head...........just my 2 cents

Well, I wouldn't do that. I don't know what your system specs are, but unless your PC is pretty old, I'd stay with XP. It has its faults. but I think I think XP is more stable than 98. I like the system restore feature, and the recovery tools on the CD. With 98, a lot of times your only choice was a re-install, and that could take hours. I used 98 until XP came out, and I'd only go back on a system with "older" specs. XP does take some getting used to...................just my 2 cents........
