I'm going to get cable internet from AOL within a week so can someone tell me what is the best cable modem (or broadband) tweaker so I can tweak for maximum speed?

i found the motorola surfboard (sb4100) to be a good cable modem to work with..i've had mine for 14 months and it's run without a hiccup

Nope the only way to increase speed is to unlock caps in the phone line. If it is dsl your talking about. But i dont think you have access to do that.

There are no software programs that can uncap your speed. It can be done, with cable internet, buts its very illegal. The cable companies often catch you, in which case you are banned from cable forever, and have to pay large fees and fines.
Most software programs that promise increased speed are bogus. If your worried about increased speed in P2P programs, most of the time your downloads are limited by "the other guy's" speed, anyway.

LOL..i wasn't talking about uncapping...just programs like cablenut...MTU tweakers...etc
