i have a 65" widescreen mitsubishi tv. when i power up my xbox and evox dash appears i can't read the left and right side. they are off the screen. i went in my msdash and set up the video settings for widescreen. but now when i play games it has a black bar top and bottom of the screen. and it still didn't fix the evox dash problem.

is there anything i can do to fix this?

also if i wanted to make my own skins, what size do i make the jpeg? is it still 640x480 even though i have a widescreen tv? if you know of a link to a tutorial link me please. i checked xboxscene and didn't see one there. i'm going to look again.

not sure of the making of your own jpeg, but i have a 48" widescreen, and you need to go to the evox.ini, and edit the X and Y values of the text. i forget exactly which ones they are (i'm at work, and dont have the evox.ini) i had to tweak them a bit to get the whole image on the screen too.

i don't see anything about X and Y. do i need a program to see these? are am i just missing it?

does anyone know the exact values?

I'm thinking about buying the new 65" Sony HDTV widescreen sometime soon. Are you expereincing this problem only on the EvoX menu or when you play your games as well? Are you using the Xbox HDTV connections?

i am using the component monster cable. it only does it on the evox menu. the game play has been fine.

i also need to find a gun the works on a widescreen. i have one for my ps2 and it is not accurate at all.

i believe the first value is what you need to mess with to ge tthe screen right.

Ohhh it's just on EvoX? That's a relief... What skin are you using btw? I'm using a regular 57" right now but heard some people complaining about how EvoX looks stretched out on their widescreens.

i'm just using one of the ones that came with evox. i haven't messed with making my own skins yet.

i use the microsoft HDTV component and the games are fine but my evox is messed . I use the default skin btw. Also you must go to the original dash and set the widescreen and 480 520 1080 etc compatibilities of your tv ( My sony :) does supports them all flawlessly, with the exception of evox )
