What console is better Xbox or gamecube?????????

i had both - x-box is the best in my opinion :)
i also have a ps2 - and now that i have an x-box - i am thinking about selling my ps2 - all it does now is collect dust

Depends on what you want to do with it and what games you want to play. If no chip were in the picture, I'd take a GC over an Xbox. Metroid Fusion is awesome. Just finished it. Looking forward to starting Zelda. It just depends on what titles you want to play and what you want to do with the console.

Xbox in my opinion, but the GC is getting cheaper almost daily and one or two of the games are very good.

Lots of my type of games coming out on the Xbox - Counter Strike, Brute Force, SWAT Team, Rainbow 6, etc.

And I still play Halo.

First and foremost I own a PS2. I did sell my GC to get an XBOX though. If you are in the US there is a scheduled price drop on all consoles sometime in the near future so I would hold off if you can.

May 15th, all consoles will drop $50. (IGN) Also Metroid fusion is on the GBA, Metroid Prime is the GC title. Anyways, as far as the consoles go the xbox is awesome, but I prefer the GC games over the xbox. If you have the cash to mod and possibly upgrade the HD I would definatly go with an xbox, but If your looking for some kick *** games at a cheap price go for the GC.

If you already own a PS2 Id proabably go for the GC.

XBOX is similar to the PS2 just with less exclusives, and most of the time your not gaining much (if anything) over PS2 with multi-format titles because of porting. :(

saying that though I went for the XBOX before the GC! :D

another thing to consider though, Im noticing its getting harder to find games for the GC in stores (couldnt get Zelda from anywhere the other day), doesnt really say much about the lifespan of the GC.

I own a PS2 now, next, I plan on buying a GC, probably this summer, than an X-box.

I agree with Dunny, if you have the PS2, next get the Cube, its like a different genere of games.
