Anything apart from the CAVS players that do this? Off disc or a HD.

You could try WIN CDG Pro, even Winamp ! (with the CDG Pluggin )
I find that used with PACEMAKER to control the pitch and speed. is more than ample.
there are several others aswell , which i could suggest but try them two first ,and see what results you can get .

(P.S. WINAMP will not play CDG straight from the disc )

Check this thread (http://www.cdrom-guide.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=243264) for a free CD+G player for your PC.

MP3+G can be played using a free player from PowerKaraoke, or Winamp with the CD+G plugin.

nah, meant hardware. Got plenty of software.
If the CAVS players are the only option, I might expand my PC building to include a mini ITX machine with a tiny screen and keyboard and some software pre-installed. Would anyone be interested?
