DVD X COPY is a one of the most EXPENSIVE pieces of DVD software out there. It certainly isn't worth the $80-$100 that most places want for it. I have had the following problems with DVD X COPY 1. It won't always copy all of the chapters from the menu 2. For some odd reason the movies wouldn't work in my XBOX (Yes I have the DVD kit and I was using Fujifilm and Ritek DVD-R which always worked for movies when I used other programs). 3. The final straw came when I upgraded my DVD Burner's firmware. All of my other DVD programs (i.e. Alcohol 120% and Recordnow Max) worked perfectly afterward but DVD X COPY would freeze up shortly after the burning process had begun and leave me with a coaster. I tried re-installing the program and still had the same problem. I tried upgrading to a newer version and still had the same problem. So I picked up DVD Decrypter and started doing 1:1 backups in ISO mode and have never had a problem since (the movies now work on my XBOX as well as the other units). DVD Decrypter and DVD2ONE are the two pieces of software that the majority of users here chose for making their DVD movie backups. DVD2ONE allows you to remove unwanted items so that the movie can fit on a single disc. DVD X COPY on the other hand provides no option for removal of extra features and automatically splits movies that are too big for a single DVD-R onto two discs. So in my opinion your money could be better spent on other software. I hope this helps.

Why people want their DVDs split over 2 disc I'll never know. Could just do SVCD for that matter. hehe For menus and all, I recommend Pinnacle Instant Copy. For movie-only, DVD2One (thogh IC is good for that also). If you really had your heart set on DVDXCopy, NewEgg.com was actually giving it away at one point with certain hardware purchases. lol
