I think I'm about to pull the trigger on a purchase. Any advice on what drive to get these days?
I did a search but haven't seen anything recent.
Thanks

DVD burner or DVD-ROM? Also if it was a DVD burner how much did it cost and where did you get it?

Wasn't a great deal...Staples. Found a $30 off $150 from fatwallet. The drive has a $50 rebate and is on sale for $229. After rebate its $149. There is a thread on fatwallet describing this.

So the special on the drive is on at Staples? If so then that is great news as there are a number of people waiting on the Cendyne special to reappear. I will check it out for myself.

That's a link to $30 of $150 or more.
$50 is the rebate they give you.

Thanks! Do they still offer the $50 mail-in rebate? I checked at Fatwallet and apparently they don't offer it anymore.

Nice one jeepers94. I will pass that one along. This might also mean further price cut backs on the 4x DVD-R/-RW ONLY Cendyne as well.
