I have a gf3 ti200 64mb but would like to know if getting a gf4 ti 128mb ram would make a big difference in games? Would I only get a few fps increase or is it really apparent?
By the way my system is a 2.4 p4 with 512ddr ram.

AGPx8 offers virtually-nothing over AGPx4 except for compatibility headaches in some cases. Performance-wise, the AGPx8 bus is still 5-10x slower than local memory, so more on-card memory is better than faster AGP by an order of magnitude. Nearly all mainboards sold today only have AGPx4, since AGPx8 chipsets just came out. In typical Intel "disclosure," reverse engineering the AGPx8 spec has been a troublesome one for AMD, ViA and others other than SiS (who is an official Intel licensee). So you'll be running your AGPx8 boards at AGPx4 anyway on those boards (not that Intel chipsets with AGPx8 would be any faster).
Ti200 can be a little slower than the MX440/460 series because of the clock speeds, although it is usually just as fast or slightly faster. But there can be a huge difference on newer titles, especially if image quality techniques are used. Since the 128MB versions or the Ti500 start at $100, you should be looking more at the GeForce4 Ti4200 or even the ATI Radeon 500/9000.
Look Here (http://www.pcrave.com/reviews/278.htm) for GeForce4 Ti4200 Preview.

The GeForce3 Ti 200 is much much faster than the Geforce4 Mx series, but can't compare to the GeForce4 Ti series. You may want to wait for the GeForce FX2/Nv35 series to arrive, cause the proce of all other cards will drop.

MX series cards are jus cr@p, the Geforce 4 MX series were overclocked Geforce 2 cards. And the Geforce 4 MX series cards aren't even fully comptable with DX 8.1, what a rip....

what about radeon 9500pro i heard its good and its at a nice price. but the only thing i hate about those radeon cards is the external power line that goiees from it to the power supply of the comp. How would you set that up. Also what about compatibility problems with games?
