I'm looking for anti-virus software to run on an old laptop. It's a toshiba 445cdt, p1 133, 16 megs RAM (soon to be 80), and 1.3 gig hard drive, running win98. The only versions of norton that'll run are the older ones that are no longer supported with updates, and I try to stay away from McAfee. Freeware or shareware would be great, but anything'll do. Also like to hear from personal experiance using software. Any ideas, let me know..............

AVG is excellent m8, perhaps better than NAV ... and the standard version is also freeware. www.grisoft.com You'll have to see what kind of specs it requires. Compared to NAV, it's very easy on sys resources but will leave it to you to check the specifics. :)

Cheers m8  Mim. specs are win 95, 486 proc, and 16 megs of RAM. Sounds just right. Only problem was I actually had to email tech support to find that out. Couldn't find it on the site anywheres, but I got a reply about 10 minutes later at 2:00 in the morning, and thats gotta say something....................thanks.
