I am wanting to buy another dvd player, because vcd help says that my Sanyo DWM-470 won't play dvd-r? I am only wanting to spend about 100 on another dvd player that playds dvd-r. I was wanting to know if anyone has suggestions on a player?

I've heard good reports about the Pacific 1002 from Asda. Just gone down in price as well to £49. Not used it myself but seen a lot about it on another forum.

Panasonic dvd s35 multi region £102 delivered from Sound & Vision Bolton. Lovely slimline player and it seems to play more or less anything. (Including DVD-RAM should you ever want to buy a recorder with time slip)

Just got the Ronin Player from Bigpockets, it cost around £60, multiregion via the handset and it has played everything i have thrown at it, DVD-R , VCD, SVCD, JPEGS and MP3.
