Hi
Using Nero and DVDshrink.
I'm trying to copy Sum of all fears and firstly i want to get rid of all the extras before i reencode it..All i want is the film plus chapter menu.

Is there a simple user guide/tutorial to show me.

btw last night i copied Gladiator from the 2 disc set,simple reencoding job.My first dvd.

have you trie dvd decrypter and dvd2one you can have movie only or extras hope it helps m8

When you say movie only,does that include the chapter menu.I dont care about any extra's at the end,but i do like the chapter menu.

Forgive me for jumping on your thread but I have used Smart Ripper and DVD2One and acheived what you want m8

Okay guys,thanks for the links.I spent an hour or so reading them.
Anyway this is what i did.

1.Opened DVD shrink
2.Clicked reauthor
3.Up came a load of files VTS_01PGC_01 to VTS_09PGC_01

Total file size 7.90GB.........i just added the biggest 5.90GB and shrunk it to 4.3GB level 2 shrink.My logic was this must be the film,biggest file and all that,and i just burned it using Nero.Are the audio files built in,i couldnt see any separate files for them?

Anyway it came out spot on,there's just the film and end titles.

As for trying DVD2one and dvd encrypter i've only had my writer two days so in time as i learn more i may try other programs.
At the moment the results i've got i'm pretty pleased with.

Finally,2 questions..........
1.Using nero and shrink can you see anything i can do to improve what i'm doing
2.What advantage would i gain from using some of the other programs you recommend?

A quick question,using DVDshrink and Nero was a three stage process

1.Reauthor
2.Reencode
3.Burn using Nero......would any of the programs you recommend cut this down to one?
