hey guys, i'm in the UK and looking to get a printer. I haven't a clue about printers these days, the last I had was a canon BJ-10E but it broke!

I'm just looking to print black and white from out of MS Word. Don't care about picture quality. Looking for the cheapest out there but good quality i.e. no big blurring, for b&w text.

Any recommendations? Can I get this for under 50 quid?

the chepest printer could be the dearest to run, you must take in to acct the running costs of a printer, the chepest would then be some thing like an Epson.

Mr Snatcher its not the cost of the printer, its the cost of the cartridges after wards

I have an epson 830, its quality is amazing, it cost under £100 and compatible cartridges (i dont care what any one says, there just as good as orig) cost £3-4 off choice stationery.

This is really the printer you want, its got borderless printing, 4800dpi, and its fast(ish) - i spent a long time reading posts on this forum about printers before i got this one and its sorted.

--- Oh, there is one thats exactly the same as mine, but looks differnt, its cheaper, doesnt look as good, but saves you £20, its the epson c80

Cheers.
