I have been burning with Primo for over a year now with no problems. I was using smartripper with Spruce and then Primo. I just took everyones advise and downloaded DVDSHRINK and started using it and it works great. I just went to backup "Trading Places", a real oldie, using SHRINK and then burning the files as usual using Prassi. As soon as I click the record button, Prassi starts fixing files and initializing and within seconds is at 14% of the job. The disc comes out to hold 8MB worth of data when the original job was over 4 GB. Anyone else ever have this problem?

No, it might be time to upgrade to Recordnow Max though. It is more up to date than Prassi and uses essentially the same base for it's software. Also have you checked to make sure you have the latest firmware for your burner? How long have you had your burner?

Two years or so, it's an A-103 but alot of people said that they had problems burning right after upgrading the firmware.

Can you obtain recordnow max in a cost effective manner?

I already have it installed when I got the computer. I have tried it today and it works fine. I just always thought that Primo was more reliable, I guess everything changes.

Nope the General consensus now is that Primo was a solid program but has since been outdated by Recordnow Max (the big deal is that Recordnow Max is more up to date for newer burners) and you seem to have found another bug to add to Prassi's list.
