I know you can install a new PC DVD drive which looks easy. I was just wondering if I could put in a PC CD drive and install MP3s from there. Would that work OK?
Thanks again guys!

Thanks again guys! HornyMan May 18, 2003, 12:51 PM I used to use cdrws on mine mate!!!! Have u tried that ??? Gold_Disk May 18, 2003, 12:59 PM I didn't think the Philips could read CDR or CDRWs? nimbles May 18, 2003, 01:07 PM Mate i'm not sure if this works (i eventually was lucky enough to get one with a samsung drive) but i asked a similar question to this before and moddogs kindly proivided this website: "You have to use the burning app called Fireburner. http://www.precisionmods.com/xbox-cdr.htm" basically it is a method of burning cdr's in format that the philips drive will read- (if you were planning to play divx movies, music etc off cdr's- pointless for games as i'm not sure any would fit on a cdr- though i maybe wrong)- if you have dvd writer then this solution is redundant If you do try it tell me how it goes as my bro is thinking of buying an xbox as well and i doubt i'll be lucky enough to find one with another samsung drive- seems like the majority of them are philps nowadays Gold_Disk May 18, 2003, 01:17 PM I have a DVD burner but I was told MP3s would not copy from that for some reason. Not very well anyway. I just wanna put a few MP3s on my hard drive to see what its like. Just copied a game on but really wanna test the MP3s. Should I just network it up to my PC and use FlashFXP? |
