not long ago i recieved a .bin and .cue file for the game battlefield 1942. i searched the internet to find out how to burn the files to a cd. i eventually got them burned to a cd..........i think?
i then installed the game with no problems using the .bin and .cue that i had just put on a cd.
when i then actually get in the game and press start to start the level the game just closes down without warning and im back at the windows screen again?

could this be due to not having the .cue file on the cd with the .bin file?

Are you saying that you just burnt the BIN file as data onto the CD? If so then how the hell did you manage to install it?

Also the game is 2 CD's.

using the .bin and .cue that i had just put on a cd.
could this be due to not having the .cue file on the cd with the .bin file

Anyone else see a conflict with the above statements?

Anyway the idea is to burn the BIN/CUE as an image and not as data so neither the bin nor the cue should actually be present on the CD.

Oh yeah, moving this to VGB.

you should have 2 cds as celtic_druid says , when you installed it cd2 should have been asked for unless it's just a demo .
you need to use cdrwin to burn the cue bin files to create the cd , putting
cue & bin on the cd does not give you a cd to install the game from .

You don't have to use CDRWin, there are numerous other programs out there capable of burning BIN/CUE images.
