I have a compaq 5bw130 computer and I am wanting to upgrade my videocard. In order to get a decent video card i need to upgrade my power supply. I have a 145w atx power supply right now, can I upgrade to a 350w and will it be compatible with my pc??

You best bet is to email Compaq support.

You might also have trouble upgrading the gfx card, depending on how new the card is/how old the pc is...
agp 1x and 2x have very slightly different agp slots compared to the 4x and 8x, they have 2 keys instead of 1 on the connector. a pci gfx card will be ok. you may not need to upgrade the psu either. maybe you could borrow someone's card to try out, then get one *exactly* the same if it works, you'll avoid any disappointment this way.

The higher end Graphics cards today require at least a 300 WATT PSU to function properly. Also the problem here is your PC is a Pre built Manufactured PC so you will find upgradability for these machines are very strict because most parts would have to come from Compaq them selfs. Refer to the Motherboard Manual to see what your options are, but in relation to your PSU 150 WATT will no way run a Nvidia card.
