I've noticed lik-sang is selling lens replacement for thomson drive (http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=157&products_id=2669&) . Its under repair section. Lik sang doesnt mention anything about this running cdr or even working better then original lens. Is this because they'ære very carefull not to be linked to tweaking/hacking, or this lens is just as crappy as original thomsons?

looks like a replacement lens if yours is fudged , cant see this turning your drive into a "samsung" cos of the new lens , this is purely for damaged lenses mate ;)

In theory, yes it could. All depends on where it came from i.e. if it's from a broken Xbox's drive then obviously it wont be much use but if it's a brand new lense for Thomson drives and not related to the Xbox then there is a chance the lens is of a higher quality. But the only way to find out is to get it and try it, unless someone already has and can confirm it works.
