Hi guys my new x-box arrived today (not chipped yet) and going by previous info found on here it has the phillips dvd drive in it,,have been reading how picky these can be with media ,,so whilst having the customary play about with the new toy started trying out some audio cds,,,and it plays some of my cdr copies on 1 Type of cdr only,,,now does this mean that it will play games etc from this type of cd when i get it chipped or is it quite usual to let it play some kinds of cdr on audio only?
Thanx For Looking

Alright m8, dont know how true this is , but i heard using cd-r for games, puts strain on the laser, so i use dvd-r only. Plus the fact that games are gradually getting bigger its easier to put them to dvd-r. If u havent got a dvd writer the prices of games on BST are very very cheap at the min, some for just over £2 a game. from cheapdvdr......

well..i myself wouldnt use cdr for xbox backups. but itd be perfect for psx backups to use with xbox emu (if my xbox read cdR :( ) .....So I dont have to waste HDD space on psx isos :)
