Howdy All,

Ive made some backups of some games and when I install them using my CD Burner they install but when I try to start them the insert disk error pops up. However, when I install the backups and try to start the game using my regular CDROM everything works fine.

Is there some setting that I need activate or deactivate as the case may be for the CD burner to get the copies working?

And why does this phenonmenon occur?

BTW - The originals work fine in the burner its just the copies that behave strangely.

CDR's contain an ATIP, regular pressed CD's do not. CDRW drives can read ATIP's regular drives can not.

Some games check to see if a disc contains any ATIP info.

There is no burner setting that can help, the only solutions are to use software to hide the ATIP or only run copies in CDRom's, etc.

Do you know what software I can use and where I can find it?

Clone CD has an ATIP blocking setting although it hasn't been updated in awhile so would be no good for the latest games.

Alcohol 120% also has such a feature and has been updated quite recently.

BlindWrites autoplay feature I believe can also achieve this although I guess the copy would have to be burnt using blindwrite with it enabled for it to work. The advantage of this however is that it is automatic.

Much easier just to run the copyt in a CDRom or DVDRom.
