Looking over all that E3 had to offer this year I'm a little puzzled. Is it just me or did the X-Box have more games and I mean more games that were better? Man it sure looks like it to me. I was hoping for a better PS2 showing. The PS2 has some great games no dought but they aren't there like they have been the last few years... (alot of rehashes) Hopefully there will be more info in the days to come because just looking over the X-Box releases I'm so glad I have all the systems!

From what I seen at IGN, PS2 stole the show once again.

Yeah, I also got the impression that PS2 stole the show, what with Prince of Persia, BG&E, Metal Gear, Gran Turismo and others.

No kidding. After taking a look at the screen shots from Gran Turismo 4 I can hardly wait to get it.

screenshots? screenshot never do justice to games, at least look at video, i played Gran Turismo 4 a the show and let me tell u, it was amazing. anyways, why is all the people only thinking ps2/xb can have a good showing cus GC nad the big N had a crazy awsome booth filled with tons of sweet games and Mario kart connected on 8 tvs, mmmmm, mario kart. im not being a fanboy tho, all had good showings, but ps2 was in fact a little lackluster. (btw, i own all three next gen consoles plus gba sp etc)

PS2 always has a great showing. Its not about quanity of games.. its quality.. Dont forget Tony Hawk Underground!

What is up with Lamecube. Will it ever get on the ball. Isn't pikmin 2 suppose to be coming out.

the gamcube is a great console and i feel is geting a lot of undeserved critisism. They had some great games at E3 mario kart, twin snakes and wasent another Zelda game confirmd? Ok it does seem to lack a few key games. At the moment there is no real true fighting game or racing game. But what about all thos great multiplayer games and metroid prime? they are great. Plus there is some great deals at the moment. My sister just got a cube with Mario and a memory card for £80 from Argos!

well lot of the PS2 games are sequeal though, but nontheless i think they had the best showing.

Gamecube does deserve more that what people give it, its mostly becuase we find if kind of a kidish console. They had some good games, so did X-box, but PS2 had better.

I find it funny that Sony is now talking about quality since they don't have alot of good games coming out this year (like other years)... the numbers use to be greater but since they are down a bit it's all about quality now.... go figure. :rolleyes:

Hey don't get me wrong I want to see all the systems do well it's better for all of us....... :D

(as I recall Nintendo talked this quality stuff and look what happened to them...) Lets just hope Sony keeps it together. (I'm sure they will.)

And BTW... if you talked to each of the console companies you'll find that they believe they stole the show so it's all to who you talk to. Sony says they did while MS said they did while Nintendo and their camp believe they had the best showing... so the 'stole the show' doesn't mean much these days. All I want are great games and more than just one or two on any system so I refer back to MS, it looks like they had more games and those games look and sound great. And from what ppl are saying they agree. (Just go over to EB games and look at the games that are coming soon and you'll see the difference.)

Game Developers should put up a forum, and ask gamers what they want to see in certain games. It would defentaly make the games sell better.

(And btw I guess it's just not me, the guys at X-Play (techtv at E3) thought the PS2 showing was weak and thus the EA sports line won best of PS2) That is a little weak if you ask me. And some websites afgree MS had the show in their pocket...... (and they're not MS sites)

I'm not saying that the PS2 didn't have good games I'm just saying they didn't wow ppl this year like in years past that's all. (X-Box and Nintendo did wow ppl though.) Hey, I'm just here for the games! Whoever has 'em I want 'em... :D

Of course its best if you have all three systems.This would mean it would,ntmatter who stole the show.But its natural to have an alleigance.

Myself I think the PC is by FAR the best games platform.Just look whats coming DOOM 3,COUNTERSTRIKE CONDITION ZERO,HALFLIFE 2 to name but a few,DAY OF DEFEAT,and the present COUNTERSTRIKE (by a mile the most popular online game) can be downloaded and played for nothing.PS2,GC,XBOX are mere children when it comes to online play.

However I have soft spot for PS2 mainly because of Pro Evolution Soccer and the Patched versions of WE6 Final Evolution.

Naturally in the console world I like to see it do well.

I have to agree with you. While a lot of games shown at E3 look fun, interesting and impressive (I'm particularly interested in the new Syphon Filter), nothing comes even close to what Half-Life 2 has to offer.

Unfortunately I fear H-L2 is not one title we'll be seeing on the PS2 in the form that was shown at E3 on a PC anytime soon.

dude, i palye the new syphon filter and i dont what was up with it but it was really bad, aiming was a ***** and such but i hope they fix it... and for all of the people here saying this stole the show or that stole the show its really up to u and not what some websites said, the only way u can truly judge which had the best showing at th show and i dont think many of u actually went there to know. to me, which i did go t e3, i personally think ps2s booth/area was kinda lackluster and boring while xbox/gc had lots going for it, not to say ps2 had a bad showing, some of my fav games i played at the show were ps2 only(res evil:outbreak, gt4) but overall i think nintendo had the best showing but the xb and ps2 came in strong nonetheless

Well you won't hear me calling you a fanboy. I personally think the term is for idiots who are too blind to appreciate the advantages of a system. I certainly would argue that a particular system is better than another but not to the point of saying the other systems are worthless. On other forums I actually flame people who use the "fanboy" label.

Sounds good to me... I have to agree. All the systems are good in one way or another. I just hope great games are on the way. I've seen a short game list from Sony this year, hopefully that's good and it's nothing to be concerned about. I've been to E3 in the past and saw how Sony took the show if you will so I do know what I'm talking about but this year they just kinda was there. But hey like I say whoever has the games I want them... (Hopefully Sony will show me wrong but given the past on some games I'm still waiting to see.)

I really don't care who took the show I just want to see great games instead of games ya play and toss aside and never bother with again... ;)

i have the gamecube and ps2, personally i never really play the gamecube.

i do have metroid prime tho and it rocks, the thing i'd like to see more of on the ps2 is online games, that's pretty much all i play anymore. has gta4 actually been announced, and is it goin to be online?

i saw that res evil outbreak trailer i was actually hopin it would b different than that, i guess i was imagining a res evil version of socom or something but hopefully it will be cool the way it is.

yeah believe me, it was a blast to play, i played the jap version at e3 and it was unbelieveable, me, my friend, and 2 other guys were the first group at the show to complete the demo and it would have been impossible to beat if it wasnt for some very clever situations were teamwork is so key, anyways, im gonna reserve it, u guys should too

Wow, looks like I'm the only one that thinks that it was the PC that had the show.

pc was kinda nice tho, ill admit it(hey i have a state of the art pc so what do i care if there are sweet pc only games) but other than Half-Life 2, Halo and WCIII exp. there really wasnt anything else, altho halo was tons of fun playin online on pc

ps2 will always stay in comand they are hot and when ps3 come out it will be a whole diffrent storry they unstopable

Like I've already said, I'll pass on this system, I'm happy with the PS2... now the PS3 is a different story. (looking forward to that)
