I own a v7 ps2 and i CANT stand my sm2/knifetrick not booting all my old backups or new pal/ntsc converted ones. I wanna convert my v7 back into a v4. I can't seem to find a used v4 on the net anywhere, so i think im going to have to rebuild my ps2 with v4 parts. What parts am i going to need to do this. Will i only need to change the motherboard? Thanks!

Where could i buy a version 4, i havent seen one online. And all i want to do is make my ps2 able to use gs2 and that will let me play all my backups again.

try the bst forum. You may have problems playing games on certain types of media with the V4. Just get a No Swap Chip.

yeah why not just get a messiah 2 chip fitted to save the time and hassle
