I've got a music CD that plays in a regular cd player (in my car), but neither of my PC's cd drives recognize it when I put it into them.
I need to pull the songs off it onto my pc, but can't.
Any ideas here? It's a cd from a studio session...
Thanks in advance.

It seems that your CD drives do not like the media.
Try it on another computer. Hopefully other systems can read it.
You can run an audio cable from the (HiFi) CD player output to the soundcard input to record the songs to WAVs then burn the WAVs back to CD as the last resort.

If you are having trouble with only certain cds, check they are made to play on PCs. There have been many experiments buy the record companies to stop cds playing on computeres so they cannot be copied. SPecifically I was aware of a CD from Maria Carey and Jlo last year where on both covers was the wording "will not play on PC". If this is the problem you will need to "record" using your sound card as van has said.
You might also try a P2P site (I use Grokster) and you can usually find someone else has already used a soundcard and given access to their tracks.
