I've had the free version of Clonecd on my computer for a few weeks but never needed to use it.

I've now tried to back-up my original of C&C Generals.

I'm using my dvd-reader to read it and trying to copy onto my cd-writer .........( Both work spot-on )

It reads the game perfectly ...takes about 15 minutes. But then once it ejects the original nothing happens. As far as I can see I'm following the instructions OK.

What am i doing wrong???

I notice it shows as 0 days left on my free download...is this the problem ?

..............Any help would be gratefully received !!

Once you have read the image, you need to burn it. There is a certain chance the copy wouldn't work anyway.

Take the CloneCD image and burn it with Alcohol 120%. Although you still might not be able to get a working copy, depending on your burner.
