I been trying to back up Black Hawk Down, but every method i know turn out the same thing, i can't get the single player option to work with the back up.
I have tried using Nero like some one posted that it work but don't know why it doesn't. also tried alcohol 120, blindwrite, clone cd with clonxxl. Is there any clue or tip someone help me out plz.

I currently using Toshiba dvd/cdrw combo 2312

Do I need to configure my clone cd? or Alcohol 120 ?

Pretty sure that game is protected with Securom 4.8.xx.

So there is no way that Nero is going to work and I don't recall anyone around here saying that it would.

You do realise though that you can't make a 1:1 copy with any software don't you?

Alcohol/BlindWrite should both work using emulation.

Clony XXL ain't going to be much use.

With CloneCD or Alcohol you can make a working copy, however it involves inserting twin sectors into the image before burning.

More info can be found by searching.

the best method that IS a 100% workaround is to image the software in clone-cd and run the image via Daemon tools cd/dvd emulator...never fails cos it ignores the protection

CloneCD can't even create a working image though so I am afraid that it WILL fail 100%.

Alcohol can however dump a working image which will work under daemon-tools or alcohol.
