I have 2 soundcards, a Onboard SIS card and a SB Live card, I use the Sis for my sound output and the SB for my MIC inoput because the SIS Mic jack dosent work. Can having these 2 soundcards cause slow down? because my games freeze now and again and i notice the HDD light is blinking, if so do i disable the SIS sound drivers?

thx

Why do not just disable the onboard sound and just use the SB Live instead ?

try uninstalling the driver/software and reinstalling it again....and make sure the speaker cables/wires aren't tied up or all tangle and inserted into the soundcard correctly.
