michael_2001_u Jun 03, 2003, 09:03 PM I just rented 007 today and I've ripped it to my HDD several times, every time theres a problem w/ the video. Interviews and director stuff gets cutt into the movie, the move will play then all of a sudden directors video will come up and the movie will turn real small and go into the corner of the screen. I have tried ripping this onto my Desktops HDD (120 GB Maxtor) and tried on it's 120 GB WD both times using a Lite-on 16X. Everytime it did it so I tried using my sony dru_500a dvd-rw drive to do it and it does the same thing. Then I tried on my laptop and it does the same thing. Any suggestions on what might be wrong? Please, I need help!!!
Jaice Jun 03, 2003, 10:10 PM What program are you using?
I didn't know it was out, looks like I have to go get it tommorow!
michael_2001_u Jun 03, 2003, 11:49 PM I'm using dvd decrypter and I even tried smart ripper it does the same thing. Even on both of my computers and 3 different dvd drives. I think there might be some new type of copy protection or something.
Templar Jun 04, 2003, 01:33 AM Ripped it a couple of hours ago, and it appears to be completely normal. It's a region one disc one. Haven't done the extras disc yet, but I wouldn't expect any different.
michael_2001_u Jun 04, 2003, 12:30 PM You should check out the movie.
codeman Jun 04, 2003, 02:51 PM try DVD Shrink m8.
Later
michael_2001_u Jun 04, 2003, 03:03 PM It's not working to begin with when I rip it to my hdd.

Just finished watching it. No problems at all.
Ripped with DVD Decrypter, Transcoded w/DVD2one, Burned w/Record Now Max.
michael_2001_u Jun 04, 2003, 06:11 PM Ok, I got it to work. Thanks for all of the help guys.
Uranus Jun 04, 2003, 06:26 PM What was the problem then? the same thing happened to me on the pal version the other month. i ripped it with smartripper and then used vobsplitter to cut the end credits a bit before using cce, then the exact same thing happened to me what you are saying. the strange thing is i tried it a few more times afterwards and it just ended up working in the end.
michael_2001_u Jun 04, 2003, 08:39 PM It was the angle. There are 2 angles on the LE dvd. That's why, I think it was trying to read the other angle. Try it in IFO mode and then use dvd2one, that's what I did and it finally worked. Make sure to choose Angle 1.
Uranus Jun 04, 2003, 10:32 PM Thanks, but i have done the movie now anyway with cce/dvd mastero.
michael_2001_u Jun 04, 2003, 11:53 PM Ok, thanks for letting me know I wasn't the only one this happened to :)
Indiana Jones Jun 06, 2003, 03:12 PM I ripped it using SmartRipper and when converting it with IC7 noticed it went small in some parts but turns out it is just an option you can enable at the menu so there never was a problem lol.
michael_2001_u Jun 06, 2003, 03:14 PM man, lol I spent over a night trying to figure it out...
