Anyone know why it does this? It even doesnt read my cdrw's...

It doesnt read CDRW? Are the burned correctly (do they play in other players)? Every CDRW ive put in my Xbox plays fine. Thats pretty odd

Not all Xbox's can read CDRW's, although most can. It varies from drive to drive, but it's the same as cheap-o DVDR media. Some Xbox's can read it, other's can't. Sounds like you just got unlucky when you got your Xbox.

Also try to burn it at 1x. Sometime it may help.

Which drive do you have in your XBOX? Generally speaking the Thomson drive is the one which reads CD-RW really well. It could be the type of media that you are using as well. (I hope toofan will forgive me for this) Eject your DVD tray and take a look.

Hey, I have Thompson. Maybe because its old and pretty scratched...I'll try again with newer media and post the result tomorrrow.

Verbatim or Fujifilm CD-RW would probably be your best bet.

I have Thomson too, it's an old Xbox. It won't read Memorex CD-RW's. I don't think mine can read any kind of CD-RW for that matter but if you have a DVD-Burner, use DVD-RW's, (I got Memorex) my xbox likes them. They usually boot 1st or 2nd second time, too.

I need someone to please tell me what cdrs ican use because i have the drive with the two holes i think its a samsung i cant play cdrs can someone tell me which brand of cdrs i can play burnt cdrs with linux or audio on my xbox thanx .
