hey, i just accidentally deleted my xbox hd files and now my evox or the ms dash wont boot no more, there's a red light blinking....please help me...

your HD is toast.. did that one just to try it out... but i did find a way to fix the prob

Anyways, SnowCrust, you did make a backup of all your files didn't you? If you didn't, your stuffed. If you did, all you need to do is make a CD with EvoX on it and a correct evox.ini file so that your network settings will work, boot up the disk and FTP your main system files over.

im walking him through it now thats why i didnt post it yet and no as far as i know he didnt and it dont matter anyways cause he wants to totally kill it and thats what he tried to do ... well he got lucky and didnt kill much cause his box actually boots games and mine didnt... im introudusing him to slayer now

Try to use Slayer auto installer to redo the hd. It will setup everything including the evox dashboard for you.

i've been curious lately, as i've seen it on other boards as well.....how does one "accidentally delete all the files off the xbox HD, or any files for that matter??? :confused: flashfxp clearly asks, "confirm deletion", and people still do it. Why?

find a disk on irc/newsgroups etc called slayers autoinstaller v2.1

thanx for that advice bro but if u looked up a lil you would have seen that its allready been said and the problem was taking care of... sorry i know taht sounded mean but i couldnt think of anyother way

thank god i got a samsung drive, all i had to do is boot the slayer in the drive and wala its a breeze thanks to dylan tracy...i screwed my xbox because i deleted the identical files thats on the different drive,, there're drive c with the files as drive d.. so i deleted the d one and it screwed...

it is very wise to backup all xbox originals before messing with replacing. i got my originals if is needed and i got the edited original bios released by a group that has the dvd region free hack.
