Ok i dl'd the alcohol 120% demo, and it has MANY options for image making. I just want some clarification about the differences between them. Media Desciptor image(*.mds) Clone image file (*.ccd) CDRWIN image file (*.cue*.bat ) Standard ISO File (*.iso)

Ive tried using the standard ISO file w/ Nero Burning rom but for some reason those didnt work with Warcraft 3, or Diablo 2 LOD. But it works fine for every other game. Then after dl'n alcohol i tried it with *.ccd but it gave me a huge file about 780 and then 2 extra files that was about 30mbs. I have no idea why an image file would be larger then the CD it was taken from...What would you suggest i use for all my image making??

MDS is Alchohols native image format, so I would suggest using that.

CCD is CloneCD's image format (as it says above) so it is ok, but not as good as MDS unless you are wanting to use twinpeak, inwhich case CCD it is.

Well when you have a RAW CD image with subs it is always going to be larger than the CD, however once burnt back the copy will be the exact same size as the original.

thanx celtic for clearin that up.

so if i was to burn my game back onto CD then it will automatically go bak to normal size? or do i have to do something to it. and when i use MDS i end up getting 2 files instead of just one. I get an MDF file and an MDS file. The MDS file is 1kb and the MDF if 680. how would i burn that to cd?

Think of the MDS as like a CUE file and the MDF as a BIN, however if you have DPM enabled the MDS will contain much more info than any CUE would.

The MDS is the same as any other image format, you just burn it. Either start the image burning wizard or click on the image in the image list and select to burn it.
