I don't know what went wrong, i brought the xbox to a friends house, worked fine there. Then when i hooked back up the xbox yesterday (3 or so days after it was last used) and it wouldn't boot bast the starting xbox logo. I restarted and then it went to my evo-x menu, but no matter what program i load, it stays at "LOADING" message. I didn't mess with any files so i don't know what's wrong.
Only thing i can think of right now is could the chip be loose? Because maybe that might exsplain why it won't load any programs. I can't even go into boxplorer to look at files, but i can log in via ftp and all files seem to be there.

Are you using no solidering chip? If you do, the chip may be loose.

i'm not completely sure, but i believe it was one of those cheapmods. Apple or something. I got system in trade, so i don't know alot about it.

ok, i too xbox apart some to get to the chip. didn't see any wires at that time loose, so i just put 1 or 2 more pieces of electrical tape down to hold previous wires good, and put back. Then i get a beep sound when i turn on system and it shuts off seconds later. Then it trys to turn back on. And another beep. Then shuts off again. Then it turns on a 3rd time and just blinks the red light over and over never displaying anything.
Opened back up and see 1 wire isn't soddered anymore. I don't know where it was originally, but i am gonna look at the apple-x2 diagram to see where it might go. Hopefully soddering it back will fix problem. Though i've never soddered before in my life.

Well, a loose wire wasn't your problem to begin with since if you have a loose wire, you would get it beep and then it would shut off and it would do that 3 more times.

well, it did the shutoff part when the wire was loose. But before that, maybe a wire wasn't touching it's spot good and caused it to not work right.
Anyways, i opened back up and since i have no sodder gun, i got electrical tape and taped down the wires. When i reopened there were 3 loose. All others seem soddered good. So i taped the wires good so they touch their spots and closed back up. And xbox works again. And if it stops again, i'll just tape them again, no need to sodder.
