awhile ago, i was watching movies and my xbox will freeze like the cd was scratched. Well it still does it...i can play a game then within 45 mins it will freeze up. so i put a cd cleaner in it now it wont play any dvd's or xobox games....do u think its more than the lens?

Sounds like you had a Thomson drive. Some of them are really good and others have trouble reading the simplest discs.

i had to replace my friends old thompson drive by buying him a new one for near identical reason. it would read some games, other times it wouldnt even read bought games.

long shot, but check the fan and see if its still workin, could be overheating, is it chipped? give us some more details on the specs of you box, chipped, bigger hdd etc, etc

the laser is fine....i strted cleaning my box and noticed a lil dirt build up but it stills freezes evryy once in a while. just to answer your questions..its a regular xbox from wally world. thanx for the help. just wondering is there anything i can do to modfy my xbox to make it run better?

You can either install a pc dvd rom or buy a xbox samsung drive from ebay for approx $99.
