Irish62 Jun 07, 2003, 05:07 PM can u copy dvd movies onto the xbox hard drive and if so how? scottperdue Jun 07, 2003, 07:35 PM I'm about 95% sure that you can... I think all you have to do is select the DVD-Rom drive in BoXplorer and copy it to the harddrive. Then you can play it back in XBox Media Player. Not positive, but pretty sure. DropKick Jun 07, 2003, 08:47 PM Yes you can Irish62 Jun 08, 2003, 10:51 AM when i went into boxploer on the xbox it would only let me look at C and E drives ( i have 120gb hard drive) i tried to do it with xtoolbox, i went to dvd copier then copied into the movies folder in the F drive. then i started up xbmp 2.0 went to my videos then to hard drive and it showed 2 diiferent folder 1 had nothin in it the other had 18 files , i clicked on one of them and it was the first 8 minutes of the movie. how do i compile them all together . p.s i cant ftp in yet thnx -=_Sir_AJ_=- Jun 09, 2003, 02:46 AM not sure but i think one file will have bin called AUDIO_TS this folder should be empty the folder with 18 files should be caleed VIDEO_TS in the xbox media player you should open an .ifo file i think which will play the vob streams as a whole movie (vobs being split up parts of a full movie) hope that i have been of some assistance psibob84 Jun 09, 2003, 05:08 AM an easier way would be using your pc to convert the movie to DivX ;-) and copy that to your xbox HD as a whole dvd could take upto 9.4 gig whereas a properly encoded DivX ;-) would only take up upto 1.4 gig Irish62 Jun 09, 2003, 05:47 AM that sounds good , i am gettin a crossover cable today to ftp in , where can i get DivX software to convert the movie. and yes there was two files one empty the other had 18 files , played one of them thought the picture was a bit jerky though , if i was to ftp the dvd to my pc then use DivX and ftp back would this improve the picture? |
