Ok, I think have successfully upgraded to my MATRIX chip Evox Dash to 1.8.3752, in settings my Bios says
current is EvoX 2.6 Ej Fix
Kernel Version is 1.00.4034.01
Xbox Hardware is 000000001 A3 B2

I go to put All Star 2003 on my HD and it is successful...I go to games and it is there, but when I try to play it brings me back to main menu....

I thought upgrading to 3752 would solve this? So then I decide to Flash bios with Xecuter 2 4976.02 the current bios. I download it in .rar format and unrar it. There are then three files:

x2_IGR_disabled, 0 bytes
Xecuter2.Build.4976.02, MSInfo Document File, 4KB
Xecuter2_4976.02_MultiVer_256k, BIN file, 256KB

I put all three in a new folder called Bios and move it to Xbox C drive using WS_FTP95 LE.....

I then go to Flash Bios and it shows the following options:

x2_IGR_disabled
Xecuter2.Build.4976.02
Xecuter2_4976.02_MultiVer_256k

I click on "Xecuter2_4976.02_MultiVer_256k" and it says "Oress Y To Flash", so I press Y and then it says:

Manu ID bfDevice ID 61
Flash Type SST-49LF020
Erasing.

and then it doesn't do anything, it just stays like that until I turn it off....please help, again I have a Matrix chip....

i'm not familiar with the matrix chip. but the file you want to flash with is the bin file. thats the bios.

it sounds to me like you did it right. why it didn't write the bios is beyond me.

boot up the xbox and see what it says below "xbox". if it says xecuter then the flash took. if it says microsoft then its not flashed.

Well I know there are some problems with certain versions of evox for flashing chips. If flashing your chip doesn't work while in the xbox the next easiest thing to do is take the chip out and flash it with your PC, put it back in and problems solved :)

make sure your matrix is in flash mode.. (see the manual chapter 7) i did that once, forgot to set the matrix to program mode... it just sat there til i shut it off and realised my mistake. once i popped it into program mode (mode 3 ??) i flashed without problem.
