Ok guys, this really sucks.
For a week now, everything was running smoothly. I have a cheapmod flashed with the newest version of Xecuter. I also have the Evo-x v.1.8.372 dashboard.
Now the Xbox is reading 0 space instead of normal 4 or 5 gigs on drive E and it freezes up while in Evo-X every 2 seconds, stays that way for 5 or 6 secs and goes back to normal...repeat.... I figured that maybe I ought to delete one of the emulators I had installed on Drive E, so I use FlashFXP to do just that. Now when FlashFXP refreshes after the deletion, drive E is wiped out!! I KNOW I didn't "accidently"do that before any of you ask =) I reboot the xbox and find out that Xbox Media Player and 2 of the options are colored red (unselectable)
So I think, "Ok, I'll just reinstall Evo-x". I load up the Slayer Evo-x auto installer to reinstall Evo-x. The first time I installed this, it took less than 30 secs. Today, it took over 2 hours as a result of the constant freezing my Xbox is doing now!!
After the 2 hours I test the install and come to find out that Media player and others are still unselectable. I check the directories with Flashfxp and see that there's still NOTHING in drive E.
Now I decide to copy the original C and E directories (with the original xbox dash) that I backed up to my PC hard drive. when I go to do this, nothing won't transfer to the E partition at all but I can on C partition.
I also tried to go to the original bios only to find out after I access the memory screen (IF it didn't freeze up first) that I have 0 memory space. If I boot a game normally, I get the "Your Xbox needs service" message.
I looked all over this forum and didn't find a comparable problem and some of the guys at #xbins4newbies are a bunch of sarcastic *******s. Can any of you help me, I'd appreciate any input. Thank you!
