but which one to go for
and can u back up disks straight on pc
and load in xbox

No, all you need is a chip and you're away.
All chips straight boot so there is no disc swapping or anything. About your pc I'm not sure what you mean but you can download iso's and burn them to dvdr if you have a dvd burner.
Also depending on what version you get the cd drive changes so you may get one that plays cd's as well as dvdr's.

I think what he means is can he put originals in his PC DVD drive and copy them to a DVD-R, in which case the answer is no. You have to connect to your Xbox over FTP and copy the files from the disk in the Xbox DVD drive, over to your hard drive and then burn.
It's a little more complicated than that, but that gives you an idea.

Which you need a chip for first, unless you wanna get really technical of course, but why would you when putting a chip in is a whole lot easier.
