if i'm not mistaken, if it says "no route to host" it means that probably your pc's network card IP is not using the same group ie. 192.168.0.x whereby x if 1-254 excluding 2 for the xbox.
if it's "time out", then probably physical link problem or something else. i assume for your case the network card link LED is lighted for the PC and the xbox network settings are correct.
can you try to ping the xbox from your pc. go to Run and type ping 192.168.0.2 . if you do not get reply, then the two devices are not connected.

maybe your pc network IP is set to different group or another possible culprit is that the xbox network link is not up (if you're using evox dash, go to settings and check to see if it's up).

set ur pc to ip 192.168.0.1...set ur xbox ip to 192.168.2, and set the gateway as ur pc (192.168.0.1)
if using new evox...username to acces the ftp is "xbox" password "xbox"
if that dosnt work...u fuked **** up :P

What sort of network cable are you using? You might find you need a cross-over cable unless you are using a hub to connect the two.
