Ok, I found this guy who is selling his xbox. This is what he told me about it:

"its modded with the latest X2 bios plays all backups there is no chip in it the bios was loaded right onto the motherboard."

Is this possible? Or true?

any help here, would... well, Help!

Thanks

If I`m not mistaken, I do believe that you can update the bios on the motherboard. It moght be something called TSOP. Maybe one of the veterans on this board will post wether I am correct or not.

Yes if it is a Version 1.0 XBOX then it can have a TSOP flash done to it where you flash the X2 Bios to the XBOX and no longer have need for a chip. However should something go wrong with it or should you need to upgrade your Bios you will need a modchip.
