Hi,
I am leaving right now, so don't have much time, but what operating system are you using?? If you are using Win2K/XP Pro you have the option of encrypting directories. Go to the Windows HELP and search for Encrypted Files System and read up on it. It is decent, but does some "gotchas" to watch out for. I'll write more in a couple hours when I get back in.

Sorry for the delay. I have done some looking. Unfortunately, I do not use Windows 98 , and do not have a lot of information. I went and did a Google search and came up with several results. I would give that a try here - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22encrypted+folders%22

I don't mean to give you a dumb answer like this, but since I don't run Windows 98, I really can't be of a whole lot of use to you. I have used Encrypted Magic Folders in the past, and it was pretty good. But that was quite a while. Look at it here - http://www.pc-magic.com/des.htm#emf

Also, if you search for PGP, it can encrypt files, foders, etc.

Best of luck to you. If there is anything I can do to help you further, I will be more than happy to. :)
