data4.cab on gta vice city

im installing from my backup of vice city and during the install it sez, please insert disc 0 containing data4.cab.
theres only disc 1 and 2 and i have no idea whats goin on, help plz

Sounds like a bad copy.

no mate i doubt its an bad copy, its twice its happened, i have tried it on two different copies

Then I would suggest that they are both bad. Pretty sure that an error like that is usually caused when setup has trouble reading from a CD. You could try copying the files to your HDD and installing (if possible) or re-copy, reading to an image file at a low speed making sure to not pick up any read errors.

Well then I would suggest that your drive is having trouble reading the original.

Try a different drive or get a refund.
