What does the user have to gain if they 'agree' to letting this company access there computer? ryanflucas Jun 15, 2003, 11:15 PM Hmm... Frankly, i'd like to see a company (or government group) put in place a program that uses the extra processing power and resources of computers by users that agree to the program, and get paid to do so (something small such as a few cents per hundred cycles, not a ton, but enough to be called pay). The program would send encrypted data packets to be processed and sent back, and counted towards the reimbursement checks, sent out every 3 months. Similar to the SETI at home system, but on a pay basis. Would solve alot of funding problems companies have for purchasing new computers, and could put alot of those old retired machines to use. gamehunter Jun 15, 2003, 11:24 PM I now understand what Brilliant Dig stand for. I use kazza, and adaware always grabs there garbage from my registry and elsewhere. :) There not going to use me, thanks to adaware!! philmeehan Jun 16, 2003, 03:39 AM Use Kazaalite, it doesn't have any of that rubbish in it. Captain Jun 16, 2003, 04:21 AM Article is dated April 1st 2002, need I say more! gamehunter Jun 16, 2003, 10:00 AM I use kazaa light. It gets in anyways. (maybe not as much a regular kazaa) Philmeehan, you better run adaware 6 :) And captain, you speak of the date of the article. Hmmm? The last time I saw brilliant dig come up, it was a while ago. But it was there. Like I said in a previous post, I didn't know what it was at the time, but I do now. There were a ton of entries by them. philmeehan Jun 16, 2003, 01:32 PM It won't be kazaalite that is carrying the spyware, that will be caused by something else. Ain't no spyware on my system!
