im currently got 1.40 which is fine for my riteks
but when i try and burn a datasafe 2x i just get write errors
do i have to change back my firmware?
and if so to which version?

Well what kind of dye do your datasafe's have on them (light purple or dark purple)? To my knowledge the firmware upgrade only affects Ritek discs so that could be your problem.

yeah m8 the 2x are ritek will this mean i will have to down grade
to 1.20 or another?
