decided to give it a try and got myself dvd movie factory..
i can load my mpeg files and convert them, burn them to disk with no problems but when i play them back on my standalone the picture
only plays on the top half of my tv screen..everything is there just squashed.
if i pause the play then press play the picture goes full screen for a second then goes back to being squashed..a twist to my problem..they play ok in my dvd rom...am i doing something wrong or is it a problem with my dvd player
any help appreciated

Sounds like they dont have the correct resolution, something like this happened when I let Nero convert my non vcd compliant mpegs when I was burning a vcd, they come out very strange, try using anoter problem to convert them to dvd.

I had this problem on my cyberhome 528 standalone, new firmware fixed it just fine :)

If it plays ok on the pc, good chance this could be the answer
