Albion Jun 22, 2003, 06:06 AM I,ve had some difficulty in trying to do this with Spruce up.Anyone assist?
First I,ve got a TV series on DVD.Three eps on some disks, four on others.
What I want to do is mix them slightly and create new chapter points, new splash screens etc.
But I want to retain the DVD quality..so this means two eps on one DVD-R
I think it can be done with Decrypter and Spruce up.Does anyone know of a guide that I can refer to.
Thanks Mark UK
celtic_druid Jun 22, 2003, 08:26 AM Just rip each episode as a M2V and AC3 stream, then import into Spruce and add whatever chapters, etc. that you want.
Indiana Jones Jun 22, 2003, 08:29 AM Totally agree, I myself ripped 1 episode of Star Trek TOS and open it up in Spruce Up, you keep the original quality and create new chapter points and menus, very easy to use.
Albion Jun 22, 2003, 06:28 PM Thanks guys.Glad I can benefit from your experience.
I,ll try it now.
Albion Jun 23, 2003, 01:35 PM Ok I can import Video files. But what about sound. There is something about renaming the Ac3 files which I,ve done, but still the two sound files I have
won,t automtically load as they are supposed to.
Am I renaming them correctly? How should they be renamed?
Naturally I will search the site to see if this has been discussed before. But a lot of enteries regarding Spruce up.
Templar Jun 23, 2003, 06:54 PM They must have the exact same name, except the file extension, as the video file. I.E. xXx.m2v and xXx.ac3.
crichton Jun 23, 2003, 06:59 PM the two files must be the
samename.m2v and samename.ac3 and in the same folder
crichton Jun 23, 2003, 07:02 PM hi templar
you sent you answer while i was typing mine.
i'am slow at typing.
Albion Jun 24, 2003, 12:34 AM Thanks again guys.I was trying to find the answer myself by searching the site as well.So I named them eps1.m2v and eps1.ac3 and blimey what do you know it worked.
Still not finished though, have to combine two episodes together into one project.
Albion Jun 29, 2003, 04:39 AM Have managed now to complie episodes together on one DVD-R using Spruce up.Always a little difficult at first to get to know how to use an unfamiliar program. But now split up episodes, new menus, new chapters etc
Great! and thanks to everyone who helped.
Just one more question? I know how to create new button's and backgrounds etc,but how can I transfer a small, medium size particular logo with psd, bmp, psp extension onto a particular part of a menu screen.
For example the cocacola Logo or the Wilson logo something like that.
Albion
etc
Templar Jun 29, 2003, 05:33 PM It would be easiest to add the logo to your background screen with any photo editor, and then import it as a background in spruceup.
Albion Jul 01, 2003, 08:40 PM Thanks Templar.I assume this is using the layer function.Never could get to grips with that.
Never mind I,ll give it another go.
