Im having a few problems, when i go to make a back up of a dvd using shrink everything works fine until i play the backup, it skips parts of the film but when i rewind it it is there, i have tried different levels on encoding but still it does the same

Any suggestions??

I seem to have that problem when I play it on my ps2, but when I play it on the xbox it works great, which make me think, its the dvd player. Otherwise I would try a different prog like dvd2one, and see if it does the same thing.

Yeah it sounds like a media issue. What discs are you using (both benfield and Mr.Snatcher)?

I've been using riteks, so I know the ps2 is p.o.s. But the xbox has no problem reading princos or anything I throw at it and plays it fine. So my guess goes to the player, What player are u using benfield?

Both My XBOX and PS2 read my Ritek movie discs just fine. Your PS2 drive must really be weak Mr. Snatcher. It still could be the media but you are right that it could also be the DVD Player. Funny thing is that the cheaper DVD Players seem to be better at reading all types of DVD-R discs. I bought a $40 Mintek from Target for my Father (Father's Day gift) and the darn thing even played a Princo DVD-RW which wouldn't work on anything else that I tried to play it on.
