Phil_806 Jun 23, 2003, 06:03 PM Right then... I have got a CD ROM called "ISLAND CASINO" and I can split down the files. THe introduction from the croupier is a 1.2mb Quicktime movie and there is also one of the wheel spinning. There are all the stills of the ball in every singlee number from 0 to 36 (inc 00) and these are in PCX format and about 30kb each. THe size on the screen is of reasonable quality, but can anyone assist me to make a CD&G of the wheel spinning and then a random number then showing? I think wev`e cracked it here boys, I have all the graphics we need, all we need is the brainwork!!

gram77ok Jun 24, 2003, 03:11 AM seems ok....looks to me like its the usa wheel though (37 numbers).....does it show the wheel spinning round and then suddenly up pops a number???
Phil_806 Jun 24, 2003, 03:27 AM Yes it is the USA version, but doesn`t really matter. "Ramone" our croupier says a little about Roulette and gives a bit of patter. The wheel spins, and when the ball lands on a number it`s shown on the screen and announced by "Ramone"
Any ideas yet?
gram77ok Jun 24, 2003, 02:33 PM yes...get a video card and record loads of spins then burn them to disc
Phil_806 Jun 24, 2003, 04:22 PM But how do I create a random result just like it does on the CD?
gram77ok Jun 24, 2003, 11:39 PM thats not a problem.....if your playing it on a vcd dvd player that has random shuffle on...
Phil_806 Jun 25, 2003, 03:47 AM hhhmmmmm!!! Let me think. Would there be any takers if I can suss it out and create one on that basis?
Lowndsy Jun 25, 2003, 04:46 AM Yeah, and then they'd copy it and sell it on.
Phil_806 Jun 25, 2003, 05:31 AM That`s what I thought, but don`t we do that anyway? LOL... If I can master it, I don`t mind, cos the discs will be copyrighted to me, especially as I am only using .GIF`s and AVI, I`m not copying and selling program, so it will be freeware or shareware or whatever, that I`ve made, then you can all send me a fiver if you find it useful LOL. Of course they will be a readme file on there telling you all this.
gram77ok Jun 25, 2003, 08:56 PM no problem go for it pal......put your email on though so we know who to send to....ideally it would be better on a dvd .....more room for more spins and better quality too...
identitys Jun 26, 2003, 01:36 AM I'm up for one guys - fivers no problem could be more.

Phil_806 Jun 26, 2003, 04:43 AM Like I said.... I have all the graphics and AVI`s we need.... all I need is the brainwork. Any help appreciated.
Scenario: Need to transfer a 1.2mb AVI movie and 37 PCX/GIF/JPG/BMP) picture files like above to a CD and enable a stand alone CDG/VCD player to play it. Obviously the AVI shows the spin first, then it needs to be a random command.
The concept of putting onto DVD is good, but may be a bit more tricky to sort.
Lowndsy Jun 26, 2003, 05:28 AM What's the problem? You can do all of that with Nero, and if you need to tweak the odd avi, or add pauses at the end of them, the Microsoft Movie Maker that comes with windows Me and Xp will work do that no probs.
Lowndsy Jun 26, 2003, 05:34 AM In fact, just load the spinning avi in movie maker, add the pic at the end for a few frames (long enough for a decent pause). Rince and repeat, and add to the VCD in order 1-37 if you want one that uses random play or mix them up for a 1-shot vcd that you can only use for each set of punters once.
