ok, here's the problem....
i have a pioneer 104 and it burns just fine most of the time, but i just recently noticed that i cant read my own copies when i burn to anything but apple media. i can read other peoples copies just fine. another think i noticed is that my standalone dvd player will play princos i've bought from other people, but if i burn on princos they wont work AT ALL. not in my dvd player and barely on my computer.... i've changed the firmware around a few times and i currently have 1.31 and i'm burning at 1x. anyone know what could be causing this, or is my dvd burner just plain dying???

probably just bad discs, avoid cheapo`s, stick to what do it for you.
i burned on a cheapo once, it played fine on all my players and those of friends, until one friend tried to copy it, and it failed to read, he thought it must be burner specific, so i tried to copy it 4 him, and i couldnt read it in my a04. (ive had many poor/bad burns with princo, datawrite also)
i use rpc-1 2x 4 all 1.40, but now only use 2x ritek or 2x verbs and never get a bad burn or read at 2x.
