Yeah but it is worth the extra money to invest in the Pioneer 105 for increased burning speeds and firmware options. With the release of the 106 just around the corner, the 104 will soon be outdated by 2 generations.

but the triple format drives are also due out august (usa) september (europe-asia) ready to steal the emperors (pioneer) new clothes

That sounds like a nice drive. I thought the DVD-RAM format was dying but it seems as if it is starting to pick up some steam.

yes, lets hope it can come at a keen price, then pioneer with the 107 may include the far superior dvd ram for rewritables, instead of just getting into bed with philips and the plus crowd. lol
