Thanks for the info concerning the Panasonic dvd-r drive, since it is not possible to copy cd to cd, is there a way to extract the files from the Xbox disc without copying them to the Xbox hdd.

I think the simplest way to ask would be, with my xbox hooked up to my linked to my home network, is there a program that can extract the file from the Xbox dvd disc straight onto my PC hard drive.

If so can someone let me know how I can do this...

You just FTP straight to the Xbox DVD drive, simple.

use a ftp program and login into the xbox with the original game in the xbox drive. browse to the d: ( ithink thats it ) and transfer all the files from disk to your pc. then use simplexiso to make an iso. burn that iso to dvdr.
